The steps are the same in Claude on the web and Claude Desktop.

Open Connectors

In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors.

Add a custom connector

Click +, then Add custom connector and enter:

Name: PostSig Investor
URL: https://mcp.postsig.com/investor

Click Add and complete the OAuth login with your PostSig account.

Use it

In a chat, click the + button in the message box, choose Connectors, and toggle on PostSig Investor.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner must first add the connector under Organization settings → Connectors; members then connect to it from Customize → Connectors.

Custom MCP connectors in ChatGPT require developer mode, available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans.

Enable developer mode

Go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and toggle on Developer mode.

Create the connector

Go to Settings → Connectors, click Create, and enter:

Name: PostSig Investor
Connector URL: https://mcp.postsig.com/investor

Click Create and complete the OAuth login with your PostSig account.

Use it

In a chat, click the + button near the message box, select More, and choose PostSig Investor.

Run:

claude mcp add --transport http postsig-investor https://mcp.postsig.com/investor

On first use a browser window opens for OAuth login.

Companies

Tool	Description
`list_portfolio_companies`	List portfolio companies with rollup metrics — current FMV, MOIC, aggregate cost, FD%, post-money, primary fund, current/entry stage.
`get_portfolio_company`	Full detail for one company by `public_id`.

Cap table

Tool	Description
`get_company_cap_table`	Cap-table snapshot — totals (FD, outstanding, implied valuation, share price), common/preferred/option-pool breakdown, and our position (shares, ownership %, voting %).

Transactions

Tool	Description
`get_company_transactions`	Transaction history — purchases, sales, secondary sales, distributions, exits, conversions. Each row carries date, type, units, amount USD, the fund and security involved, and the financing round.

Legal & governance

Tool	Description
`get_company_legal_terms`	Legal/governance terms — structured tables overlaid with the latest Aumni-imported snapshot. Mirrors the Legal Terms tab in the app.
`get_company_board`	Board composition — directors and observers with their designating fund.

Securities & rounds

Tool	Description
`get_company_securities`	Securities issued by a company with current terms (where `superseded_date IS NULL`). Each row carries security type, series, and the full terms block.
`get_company_financing_rounds`	Financing rounds in chronological order — stage, pre-money / implied valuation, announced / initial close / final close dates, and round currency.

Funds

Tool	Description
`list_funds`	List investment funds — name, short name, code, vintage year, currency, target size, committed capital. Use to discover fund ids for filtering other tools.
